Is a US Lacrosse number required to play with the BLA?
Yes, every athlete who would like to participate in any BLA event must be a member of US Lacrosse.  The membership provides excellent benefits to lacrosse player as well as liability insurance for everyone involved.

My credit card did not go process, how should I pay?
You can always send a check.  Checks should be made out to: Buffalo Lacrosse Academy, 187 Getzville Road, Amherst, NY 14226.

How do I update my profile?
At any time you may log in and update your lacrosse profile by clicking here. 

Are refunds granted?
Refunds will only be granted for medical reasons or family hardships.  Player expulsions will not be refunded.

If I cannot make one or more Skill School, Winter warm-up, Fall Ball days can I get a refund?
Refunds will only be granted for medical reasons or family hardships.  The BLA is not able to prorate fees.

Select Team FAQs

If I cannot make one or more Select Team event can I get a refund?
Refunds will only be granted for medical reasons or family hardships.  The BLA is not able to prorate fees for active team members, only alternates.

I have been designated an Select Team alternate. What does that mean?
The older Select Teams will carry alternates. These players will pay a discounted price.  The alternates can attend all summer events including the Hobart team camp.  However, due to roster size constraints, only if an active team member is unable to attend a tournament will an alternate be asked to go.  All alternates should purchase the equipment as well.

Do I have to purchase BLA equipment?
The BLA equipment is a one-time purchase only, unless of course you decide in future years to purchase more.  Each player must wear a Gray/Silver shell and navy chin/visor helmet and blue/gray/white gloves.  Where you purchase them is your decision however the BLA negotiates excellent prices for a variety of brands through its equipment providers for anyone interested. As of the 2008 season the under-13 team is not required to purchase equipment, all other teams must however.

Do I have to purchase a new jersey and shorts each year?
Yes, because numbers and styles may change.

How do you handle player suspensions or removals?
Any Select Team member can be removed from a team and placed on a suspension from all BLA activities and events if behavior is deemed inappropriate.  No refund will be granted.

Winter-Warm-up

Do we play box or outdoors rules?
Minus the hitting and checking, box lacrosse is played. Thus 4x4 nets, boards, players can go anywhere, 5v5, etc.

What kind of stick can I use?
Indoor lacrosse only allows short sticks.
