Core & HIIT Training

This 1 hour session will be split into 2 segments – Core Strengthening and High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.)

Core: No matter what sport you are involved with, a strong core is essential.  There are almost 30 muscles in your core that work together, enabling the body to move as a unit. Core strength helps with speed, stability, power, posture and proper form for throwing, catching and running.  This segment will involve body weight exercises focusing on the entire core: Hips, glutes, back, abdominals and shoulders.

High Intensity Interval Training: HIIT alternates periods of short, intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods.  Science has shown the many benefits of HIIT training, including improving your endurance, boosting calorie burn, increasing your VO2 max and reducing fat mass.  We’ll go thru a series of high energy, fast paced, fun exercises, guaranteed to get your heart rate up and get your competitive juices flowing!
