5/12 RSSL Weather Update

The following email was just sento to all RSSL Families - We wanted to let everyone know that today’s RSSL is still on for all ages groups. Practice times today will be shortened for each age group. So expect games to begin around 12:25 for u8, 1:10 for u10 and 2:10 for u12. This week all age groups are ending early.

We would ask that parents/guardians as always remain at the field at all times while you child is playing. Please stay tuned as this could change due to the hour to hour uncertainly of WNY weather and the numerous RSSL fields being used throughout WNY.

Patriot Games Tournament

The Patriot Games takes place outside of the Philadelphia July 20 & 21.  You can expect games all day Saturday and Sunday.  We will not know the game field locations until the final schedule is published and the locations will vary for all our teams.  Click on the link below to learn more about the tournament.  There you will find a place to REGISTER.  You must individually register for this tournament which includes the tournament waiver.

Lake Placid Tournament

 One of the most most scenic and historic lacrosse tournaments in the nation.  This is one event no lacrosse player forgets! The BLA will also have a u18 boys, u19 boys & Open mens teams in attendance.  For driving directions, schedule and more, please click below.

11/03/2013 - UMASS Fall Classic

90+ COLLEGE COACHES.  Chartered bus departs on Saturday around 1pm and returns around 10pm on Sunday evening.  It is usually the first weekend in November.  please log into your BLA account and indicate if you are interested in attending.

Lake Placid ADD-On Option

ONE OF THE OLDEST AND BEST DESTINATION TOURNAMENTS:  This year we were able to add a u18 Team Buffalo team at the famous Lake Placid Tournament, one of the true highlight events in summer lacrosse.  The u18 will join our girls teams, u19 boys, college open team and mens Masters Team. 

The dates are Monday August 5 - Wednesday August 7.  To be eligible you must be 18 or younger on 8/31/13; must have remaining HS eligibility (no college bound players permitted).  Players are responsible for their own hotel and transportation.  See hotel information on this page.

If any boys Team Buffalo player is interested they must let us know by May 1st by logging into your BLA account and choosing the 'Lake Placid Add-on' option.  After the deadline we will be opening up the registration to Varsity Select Players.

OVER 50 COLLEGE COACHES: July 5 & 6th.  Plan on arriving Friday July 5th at noon and playing all day Saturday.  The team will pay the team fee of $2,750 per team however players must register individually.  Hotel and registrtions updates coming soon.

2 BLA alum named player of the week for college conferences

2 BLA alum named player of the week for college conferences! Marshall Argenta was offensive player off the week for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) conference and Dan Knupfer was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) player of week. Senior Derek Frost named the SUNY Potsdam player of the week

Congrats to BLA alum and current Senior midfielder Derek Frost who was named the SUNY Potsdam player of the week as he helped lead the Bears with three goals and two assists over Morrisville State. In the same game, alum Freshman Ed Doherty added his first collegiate goal with Potsdam

UIL wins in ALL ages for the BILT tournament in Phillidelphia!! Everyone played great and had great support from all coaches Parents and friends. Thank you everyone for making it down this weekend. Now on the road to head back home and get ready for field lacrosse for the spring!

OVER 120 COLLEGE COACHES IN ATTENDANCE:  Players must register and pay individually for GAIT CUP Session 1 at the link below.  Players wishing to will stay as a team in the dorm and eat together on campus. 
Parents planning on attending should not delay in making hotel reservation, see hotel information on this page.  All players must check in on June 27, 2013 from 12 p.m. to 2:00.  You can plan on leaving after 5:00ish on
Saturday June 29 unless we make the finals on Sunday June 30.

Albany Power Shootout at RPI

The Albany Power Shoot is at RPI just outside of the Albany.  It is July 13 & 14.  Games usually start mid-morning Saturday giving you enough time to drive there if you leave early enough.  Games should conclude mid-day Sunday.  Click on the link below to learn more about the tournament.  There you will find the required waiver to complete and turn in to your team coordinator.
