National Champions!

May 31, 2016 | Jeff Teplitsky

The Buffalo Lacrosse Academy would like to take a moment and congratulate a handful of BLA Alums on being crowned National Champions.

On May 15th, two BLA Alums,  #19 James Deakin and #31 Parker Phillips and the rest of the #4 seed Genesee Community College Cougars knocked off the #1 seed Onondaga Community College Lazers (13-12) in overtime to capture the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Championship.

Then, this past Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia, three more BLA Alums were crowned Division 2 National Champions.  #24 Eric Chadderdon, #40 Pat Nowak and #19 Greg White and the rest of the Le Moyne Dolphins capped an undefeated season with a (8-4) win over the previously undefeated, Limestone Saints.

Finally, on Monday, also in Philadelphia, another BLA Alum was crowned a National Champion.  #23 Lucas Walsh and the North Carolina Tar Heels knocked off the #1 Seed Maryland Terrapins (14-13) in Overtime to be crowned Division 1 National Champions.

The Buffalo Lacrosse Academy is so proud of the tremendous seasons these men had at their respective schools!  We look forward to seeing you and the other National Champions (Past and Present) playing in the Buffalo Cup League this summer!
