Detroit-Mercy Announces Its First Recruiting Class | May 9, 2008
The University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse head coach Matt Holtz announced the Titans first ever recruiting class on Friday. The 17-member class is composed of 10 freshmen and seven transfers hailing from six states and three time zones. The class includes six midfielders, five defenders, five attackers and a goalie. The Titans, the only Division I program in the state of Michigan, will begin varsity competition next spring as an independent. |

DURHAM, N.C. -- The top-ranked and top-seeded Duke men's lacrosse team will open the 2008 NCAA Tournament by hosting Loyola on Saturday at Koskinen Stadium. Face-off is set for 2:30 p.m., and the game will be televised live on ESPNU. #2 Virginia and #6 UMBC Face-off in NCAA Opener | May 9, 2008
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA-The University of Virginia has received a bid to the 2008 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship and will host UMBC in the first round Sunday (May 11) at 5:00 pm at Klockner Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPNU. The tournament's second seed, Virginia is 12-3 this season and currently ranked third in the coaches poll. |
